According to Dr. Christine Wood the
risk of developing degenerative diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and
obesity can be significantly reduced through proper nutrition beginning
in childhood and continuing through adulthood. Wood outlines in her book
ways of minimizing (and in some cases eliminating) symptoms for other
non-degenerative diseases such as allergies, asthma, and attention deficit
disorder (ADD) through environmental control, nutritional supplementation,
and a balanced childhood diet. DR. CHRISTINE WOOD is a practicing pediatrician
in San Diego County. She holds a medical degree from the University of
Michigan, a lactation educator certificate from the University of California,
San Diego, and completed her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital
of Los Angeles. Currently, she lectures on the role of nutrition supplementation
in the lives of children to parents and physicians worldwide.
